Dr. Caitlin Coyle

Dr. Caitlin Coyle is currently a research fellow and assistant professor of Gerontology at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Her research can be described as examining the relationship between the social aspects of health and community living with a specific emphasis on social isolation among older adults, aging with lifelong disability. Dr. Coyle earned her doctorate in gerontology from UMass Boston and also worked as postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Health Policy & Management at the Yale School of Public Health. She has extensive experience working as a mixed-methods research partner to community-based organizations. Her work informs planning, development, and improvement to the services and supports being provided to older adults and people with disabilities.
